The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, has posed an unprecedented global health challenge. Amidst the search for effective treatments and preventive measures, the role of vitamin C has garnered significant attention. This comprehensive review aims to explore the potential benefits of vitamin C supplementation in the management of COVID-19. We delve into the immunomodulatory effects of vitamin C, its anti-oxidative properties, and its role in mitigating inflammation, which are crucial aspects in combating the pathogenesis of COVID-19. Furthermore, clinical studies and trials investigating the efficacy of vitamin C supplementation in COVID-19 patients.
